Über die Künstlerin

Μy new series of work, Everything is Distance, is a unique exploration. It holds a dual meaning, one being the formal distance between the volumes I employ and the other, the distance between the various periods I have traversed, such as my early figurative work and my later abstract pieces. This journey leads to a process of self-consciousness, a captivating voyage of heightened awareness and comprehension of my own artistic process and the themes I delve into, a distinctive aspect of my work.

My volumes/inductive units are not static entities. They are placed in a sequence that is both a narration and a visual outcome, constantly evolving toward the completion of the final image. This dynamic evolution, like a dance of forms and spaces, is what eliminates the distance between them, as they always touch one another in a sequence. The true Distance is created inside them, with the empty spaces inside the units, which generate moments of silent activity that await further initiations. This dynamic process of creation and interaction keeps the audience engaged and intrigued as they witness the birth of the final image.

My work is not just a personal journey but a shared one. I construct the inductive units of my work as a mesmerizing succession of episodes deeply intertwined with my quest for self-understanding. This quest, which we all share in some form, is a gradual process of distancing myself from imposed or projected identities, leading to a profound realization of the self and the world at large. This gradual process, marked by patience and empathy, allows viewers to understand and appreciate the depth of my journey and feel my work’s emotional resonance.
